Senior Year Homework Asinine(ment)

During senior year of undergrad, I had to complete a series of worksheets for my 2D Foundations art class. Towards the end the answers got a little silly. Here is a completely real example of something I turned in for a grade.

Create a series of events that demonstrate causality in an inventive way. What sets it all off?

I’m hungry. I want to make grilled cheese. I butter two sides of bread and put them in a frying pan but I realize that I am out of cheese. I go to the store. But on the way to the store a gypsy woman stops me and says I must save the world. And so I go with a hobo and unicorn on a journey that would change my life.

How does it end?

I never got my sandwich. (It’s a sad story.)
