I can officially announce this! I waited until everything was more or less confirmed (roommates, movers, car, et al) before putting it out there. But it’s official! At the end of June (after A Midsummer Night’s Swing), I will be leaving the Big Apple for Pigtown.
When I moved to New York City, I did not really have a plan or an idea of what I was going to do when I got here. (Except work at my uncle’s chocolate factory, which I did for the holiday season.) I ended up doing many things, all of which have been amazing experiences where I have learned and grown and have come closer to what I want to do with my life.
And one of those realizations is: I don’t want to spend this much money on my shelter.
I love New York City. I truly do. It’s hard not to fall in love with something where everything you can possibly want exists (and in a small radius of less than five miles). It’s been a wonderful chapter, but I need to figure some stuff out.
And first and foremost is to go after my dream of owning my own ballroom. I will be living next to the infamous Mobtown Ballroom run by the stunning Nina Gilkenson. I’ll be in an environment that I hope to create one day. (Plus I’ll be paying a fourth of my current rent.)
So not a long blog entry, just foreshadowing to the next chapter of my life. (And by foreshadowing, I mean blatantly stating.)

Well, wow!
Let me know if you need any boxes. 😛
